Pizza and Wine Pairings

March 10, 2015 -

You love pizza. You love wine. So why not bring those two beautiful things together for one amazingly delicious taste bud experience?

Below are four of our Roman-Style pizzas listed with a wine pairing suggestion for each. I definitely recommend you try this fancy, but laid-back combo the next time you dine with us.

1. Chicken Bryan Pizza & Bocelli Sangiovese
The bright, lush and slight smoky flavors of the Bocelli Sangiovese are great with this pizza’s basting sauce as well as our wood-fire grilled chicken.

2. Quattro Formaggi & Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio
Quattro Formaggi translates to four cheeses in Italian, and we use romano, mozzarella, fontina and goat cheese specifically. The nice acidity of the Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio, along with the fresh and clean taste, will really help cleanse your palette to cut through all that amazing cheesiness.

3. Margherita Pizza & Francis Coppola Pinot Noir
There is a very nice balance between floral and spice in the Francis Coppola Pinot Noir, which goes really well with the flavor of the fresh milk mozzarella and tomatoes. Something about this pairing just really makes me want to sip, eat and watch “The Godfather.”Magherita Pizza & Francis Coppola Pinot Noir

4. Carnevale & Centine Super Tuscan
My favorite pizza. There is so much going on here that you need a bigger wine to stand up to the Italian fennel sausage and roasted bell peppers. I love the Centine Banfi Super Tuscan because it is soft enough to not overpower all the great flavors of this pizza, but still enough to enhance them.
